Gini is the standard inequality measure: 0 is a perfectly even split, 1 is one person holding everything. It is the single number that says whether a team is sharing work, and it needs nobody to fill in a form.

What lands in your gradebook

One CSV for the whole unit, downloaded from the academic dashboard — no LMS integration, no IT ticket. Six of the twelve columns from the detailed export are shown here; the rest are identifiers and two more fairness measures. Note what is not there, in any of the twelve: no score, no rating, no single contribution number. FairWork reports what happened and leaves the judgement to you.

There is also a summary mode that drops member identifiers entirely and gives one row per team — completion, workload balance, Gini, overdue count, inactive members, health. That is the default, because a coordinator usually wants to find the teams in trouble, not read per-student rows. Either way it is measured from what the team did during the semester, not from what teammates report about each other afterwards — so it complements a peer-evaluation instrument rather than replacing one.
